My name is Devendra Basavantrao Gade, and my life’s purpose is to stand beside those whom society often overlooks — the homeless, the helpless, and the unheard.
I have walked through the harsh realities of the streets, looked into the eyes of people who have lost not just shelter, but hope. Those moments changed me. They made me realize that service is not an option — it is a responsibility. Through Sahara Bahuddeshiya Sanstha, we are not just offering help; we are restoring dignity, rebuilding confidence, and reminding every individual that they matter.
For me, this mission is not just social work — it is a commitment from the heart. Every meal served, every life touched, and every smile restored is a step towards a more compassionate and inclusive society. I strongly believe that true change begins when we choose to care for others, without conditions.
This journey is not easy, and the path is long. But my determination is unshakable. With the support of kind-hearted people, we aim to reach many more lives, to bring light where there is darkness, and hope where it has faded.
I promise to continue this work with honesty, dedication, and compassion — until the day no one is left behind, and every human being is treated with the respect they deserve.

My family consists of a mother, father, two brothers, and a sister. My father arranged marriages for all my brothers and sisters. For some reason, my siblings and I did not have a good relationship. After my mother's death, I got married and a few months later, my father's health deteriorated and he needed a lot of money due to his health. He sold his house and treated him in the hospital. After my mother's death, my father gave a share of the house to all my brothers and sisters and gave his share to Prashant Chimankar, the youngest son, and they lived with him. But my father did not survive due to his health. I was living in a rented house. Since I did not have a house, I always had fights with my wife and because of that I got divorced. After that, since I had no work and my financial and mental condition deteriorated, I lived on the sidewalk. Once, I was sleeping under Bridge number 10. Then, as a measure to prevent heatstroke, I was brought to a shelter in the month of May. After coming to the shelter, the staff of Sahara Bahuuddeshiya Sanstha here counseled me and encouraged me to start a new life and they got me a job as a security guard in Abhishek Agency. Now my current salary is Rs. 15,000 per month. I have started living a good life and today I am living in a rented house. Having overcome the initial poverty, I am mentally and financially ready to get married again and live a new life
In 2001, while working in Loksuvidha Finance Company, he lost his job for some reason and came to Nagpur in search of another job. Since he was currently unemployed in Nagpur, he requested the organization to stay at the urban homeless shelter started by the Municipal Corporation with the intention of finding a dharamshala or ashram to stay in. He requested the organization and as he said, he did not have a job. He said that he had experience in a finance company. Due to this, Hon. Mr. Ravikant Gavai was working in Kotak Finance Company, his friend Mr. Vishal Bhoisere was working as a manager at DHFL Primary Insurance Company, Nagpur. Mr. Devendra Gade, Secretary, Sahara Bahuuddeshiya Sanstha introduced him and arranged a new job for him. At that time, his salary was Rs. 8000. He worked hard and stubbornly from Sales Executive to Senior Executive Manager. With the help of Sahara Bahuuddeshiya Sanstha , his salary increased significantly. After that, he progressed to Assistant Branch Manager in Future Life General Insurance Company and now his current salary is Rs. 1,20,000. He started living a good life like a respectable person, today he owns his own Gorewada Road Flat No. 3 Gangotri Apartment, next to Kalpatri Auditorium in Nagpur. Having overcome the initial poverty, today he is married and living a prosperous life.
